First-time exhibitors numbered 25 and there were 78 returning galleries. Art Dubai Modern featured 16 galleries representing 14 countries.

  • The Galleries

Art Dubai Contemporary welcomes applications from commercial galleries around the world that operate in the primary market and have been established for at least two years.

Art Dubai Modern focuses on Modern art from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia which will showcase works by Modern masters from the 20th century (up to the year 2000).

Participation in Art Dubai Residents is by invitation only.

Preceding information from the Art Dubai website.

Dubai's purpose-built art district in the Al Quoz industrial neighborhood is the city's second best place to meet and perhaps mingle with artists, filmmakers and writers. The architect-designed warehouses are home to Gallery Isabelle van de Eyde, Grey Noise, Moo Gallery, The Third Line and Green Art Gallery to name a few of the most respected in Dubai.

THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES is a young and spirited nation that is rapidly becoming modern and globalized. This transition is particularly evident in the Emirate of Dubai.

Dubai is home to the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa; there are two major airports, manmade islands in the shape of palm trees and on 20 October 2020, the Emirate will welcome the world to Expo 2020.

Each March, international dealers, collectors and the curious arrive in Dubai to experience the arts in a big way. The primary, of course, is Art Dubai; however, there are many complementary activities and events including Art Week happenings with special gallery openings in Al Quoz and Alserkal Avenue. Sikka Art Fair in the Al Fahidi district on the Creek is not to be missed.

Dubai's art season invariably spills over into Abu Dhabi with its special arts programs including the annual Abu Dhabi Music & Art Festival. The 14th Sharjah Biennial takes place 7 March-10 June 2019.

March 2019 UAE journey combines the historic and the modern; the traditional with an appropriate portion of the futuristic. Throughout the focus is an authentic introduction to the culture, heritage and people of this vibrant country. Public and private gatherings provide interaction with Emiratis and also expatriates.
